I am a proud MS Advocate!

I spent the last 2 days at the General Assembly getting trained and then speaking to our Delegates and Senators about issues important to those with MS.  There were more than 50 of us all there in orange representing those in Virginia with MS.  It was quite a learning experience and we were well received.  I look forward to doing it again next year and following the bills we encouraged to see how the progress.

I think I have mostly kicked the nasty cold.  There is still the occasional cough but it’s much better than a week ago. I made it through the day yesterday.  It started when I woke up at 5 a.m. and a fellow MS’er was here to pick me up at 6:15!!!!  We got home about 2 and I went back to bed and slept until 4:30.  Went to bed a little early last night and feel pretty good today.  It’s all about listening to your body and not pushing too hard.

Tomorrow I am being interviewed about my involvement with yoga and MS by the newspaper!  I am excited to get my story out on even a bigger level.  Things seem to be coming together for me.  I’ll be sure to post a link when it runs.

Today’s Gatha:

Politics are necessary as a tool to solve human problems.  We have political choices to make and a chance to be involved in changing the world.  I gather the strength and think carefully before I decide.  I hope to make choices that will change what needs changing.

Namaste,

Sarah
