must get back in the habit of blogging….

Yes, I’ve been busy but the original purpose of this blog was  to share that even with a MS diagnosis you can still carry on a busy life!  Guess I have done that.  Yoga keeps me very busy these days and I am thankful for that.  I enjoy my 3 sometimes 4 times a week practice and I feel great, but I need to find time to share that feeling with you guys! I also continue to take on more private students.

This weekend is the fundraiser at www.4025yoga.com for the local MS Walk.  I hope to have a good turnout but the weather man just said RAIN!  That will impact the turnout I’m sure.  Maybe it will wait until after 4:00 on Saturday.

I am also attending a seminar on Sunday on B.K.S. Iyengar.  He is credited with the use of props in yoga.  Google him…it’s a fascinating story.

Tomorrow I see a new neurologist.  He specializes in M.S.  Excited to see how it will be different.  I want more from my Dr. that tickling my foot, watching me walk, checking my reflexes.  Ya’ll know how that is.  I’ll you know how different it is.

Let me hear from some of you.  I  noticed my followers increasing.  What more do you do want to know about me?

Today’s Gatha:

Peace of mind is my top priority,  I reflect on what is truly of value, what gives meaning to life.  I set me other priorities on that basis.

Namaste-

Sarah

P.S.  Getting used to contacts!  My glasses got in the way during yoga.  Think the contacts are going to be a good thing.

Hey Sarah, I’ve enjoyed checking out your blog now & then since meeting you at HealthSouth back in February. Hadn’t looked recently and can’t believe I forgot / missed the benefit on the 26th! That’s MS for you!
I wanted to ask about your new neurologist. I’ve been seeing Dr Stucki at Neurological Associates for about a year or so, but he’s leaving the practice in May. It keeps happening – I see them a few times & then they move / get married / go to another practice that’s not convenient. Would you let me know how it went? Thanks!

I saw Dr. Unsong Oh at MCV. He specializes in MS…nothing else! He was very thorough, listened to me and spent more time with me that my current Dr. has in a long time. Granted he was getting to know me for the first time, but it was WELL appreciated. If you want to give him a try the number is 804 828 9350. They call it the MS Clinic and there is a representative from the MS Society (Kathryn Zapach) there every Friday. Love that!!
Thanks for letting me know you are out there and reading my blog.

Hi Norma! So glad you found my blog. I teach at 4025yoga on MacArthur avenue on Saturday mornings at 10:30. The hour long class is scheduled to resume on January 12. The cost for the class is normally $15.00. The owner of the studio offers a $5 class to those unemployed or on disability. I also have a studio at home if you think he would prefer a private class first. The rate for that is $50.00 and the first time would take about 90 minutes.

Would love to meet you and your Husband. I am prepared to adapt every class to the needs of the folks that come that day. You can reach me more directly at sarah.humphries@verizon.net

Check out the studio at http://www.4025yoga.com. Hope to see both of you soon!!

      Namaste-
      Sarah
