What a weekend!!

Whew!!  It was a great weekend but I am listening to my body and taking a day to catch up with myself.  Had the MS Walk fundraiser at www.4025yoga.com and the turnout was great!  Raised $100.00 in donations for the walk.  Even more, had a room full of folks interested in yoga for those of us with MS.  Will have some new students I am sure.

Sunday was an 3 hour Iyengar workshop at the studio, learned a lot but WHEW!  Tired.  Also had a presentation from Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy.  That may be something I will look into.

Tonight I have my Yin class at 6.  Had said I would help a friend today with another presentation today but I listened to my body and decided to take a break.  There are things that need to be done at home and I need some rest to start the new week.  Rather proud of myself for listening!

Are you starting to get it?  Sorry for babbling on how busy I was…but the part I want everyone to get is that I listened to my body and took a day off today.  Have some things to do around home and I missed it (home) this weekend.  I missed being a wife and hanging out with my husband!

Let’s see if there is a Gatha for that:

Today’s Gatha
Work is empty without a personal life, and a personal life is lacking without fulfilling work.  They sometimes pull me in opposite directions, but each supports the other.  Mindfulness, meditation, and patience help me balance these complementary aspects of life.

P.S. I don’t look at what I do as “work” maybe the word is obligations?
