listening to the quiet….

Last week was a “noisy” week.  There was way too much going on in the news and despite my best efforts, I wasn’t able to turn off the television.  This week I am better.  Resting better and feeling better for it.

Today I am thankful for all of the opportunities that have come my way to teach yoga.  I have started with a new group in the last month and today from that group I have a new private student starting next week. I am so happy and I must say proud that I am able to share my love of yoga and hear other people tell me how much it is helping them.

That being said and I much as I talk about yoga… please, if you are curious, find a teacher you connect with and that seems to understand you. DVDs are fine but it’s best to have a few classes with a certified instructor before you start something on your own.  I started with CDs and DVDs but I have a sister who had been practicing for years to coach me along the way and answer my many questions.

On to things other than yoga….I was sitting on my deck yesterday reading and soaking up the sun when I noticed my bluebirds were back!  I hadn’t cleared out the nest from the chickadees, I was giving them until this weekend to start a family.  When I saw a flash of blue I noticed that Blue Man and Mrs. Blue Man were moving back in!!! I haven’t peeked at the nest yet, I don’t want to scare them away.  Will post pictures when I have one. So excited to have more bluebird babies this year! This is year three!!!!

That’s all for now, will try to stay in touch on a weekly basis.

Today’s Gatha:

As the sun sets, I practice the way of awareness.  I vow to share the fruits of my life with all beings.  I appreciate the numerous beings who gave guidance and support along my path today.

Namaste-

Sarah
