managing being busy!!

I must admit…being busy is a GOOD thing! I am learning how to manage it.  That has been an interesting journey to say the least.  Listening to the tiny whispers that my body delivers when it’s time to rest as well as the LOUD suggestions I get when it’s time to get moving is interesting.

I rarely have a day now when yoga of some sort isn’t on my calendar.  Whether I am teaching or taking a class, it’s yoga almost every day.  I have so far managed to keep Sundays free.  I am also very fortunate that most of my classes take place during the day so most evenings can be dedicated to hanging out with my wonderful husband of 18 years!!

My bluebirds are back in their box this year.  Did I mention that already?  I so enjoy watching them.  I spent some time outside yesterday planting some flowers in window boxes on my deck.  Trying marigolds and catnip this year. They are supposed to help keep mosqitoes away.  Will try and remember to keep you posted.

Speaking of remembering…has anyone with cognitive loss tried any of those brain exercise web sites?  Do they work?  I am curious, guess I’ll ask my neurologist at my next visit.

My mind is everywhere today…guess I’ll sign off before I babble on any longer.  I will close with something a friend shared with me.

“The most important relationship that you are ever going to have in your life…is the relationship you choose to have with your ‘self!”

We are given only one body in this lifetime.  Love it or hate it, it is ours for the duration.  It is our closest teacher, protector, friend and sometime scapegoat.  Yet, like any other friend, it will return to us the respect we give to it.

Here in this body are the sacred rivers:  Here are the sun and moon as well as all the pilgrimage places… I have not yet encountered another temple as blissful as my own body.
